Termite Inspection and Control
Termites can cause costly damage to the wooden structures of a building. We’re trained and certified in termite detection and elimination. We are proud to offer Sentricon.
A true “termite colony elimination” system, it is the most non-intrusive method of termite control.
Once feeding is established, the bait matrix which is an IGR (Insect Growth Regulator), will ensure complete colony elimination.
Carpenter ants (Black Ants) are clearly pest enemy number one here in New England.
These large black ants are not only a nuisance, but are capable of damaging wood.
They get their name not because they ingest wood like termites but because they tunnel into wood, creating galleries to house the eggs and larvae of the colony. They are typically found foraging for food and moisture in your kitchen and bathroom.
We will eliminate your carpenter ant colony or colonies by determining the point of origin.
This is done through an interview as well as a thorough inspection. Our technician may use a sophisticated moisture meter or listening device to key in on the colony location.
If the colony is exposed it will be removed with a Hepa Filter vacuum, that will eliminate the ants, larvae, and any sawdust (frass) that the colony has produced. If determined that the nest is in a void a micro-injector will be utilized to introduce residual materials into the wall or ceiling supporting the carpenter ants.
After solving the current carpenter ant problem we will treat the perimeter of your home to keep further ant colonies from infiltrating your home or business.
As a pro active measure we suggest an annual perimeter application to protect your biggest investment.
Roaches and Other Insects
After inspecting and analyzing your situation, we will advise you on household routines that will minimize insect infestation. In addition, our specialists offer insecticide treatments that will include any or all of the following:
Crack and Crevice Pesticide Placement
Insecticides are placed carefully only in areas where the insects live and breed.
We will also treat dark, enclosed areas within walls and under cabinets. In both cases there is be minimal exposure to children, food, or pets.
A continuous insecticide barrier is created around the exterior of the building to keep pests from entering.
Insecticides are directly applied to the pests.
Insect Growth Regulators
These insecticides duplicate the insect's natural hormones to disrupt their natural growth and development.
Our rodent control program has four important steps:
A thorough inspection to identify the species, where they’re nesting, and what factors are attracting them.
Creating effective sanitation so that rodents are denied both food and hiding places.
Eliminating all potential entry points.
Reducing the population by applying bait, and traps.
Commercial IPM Sanitation and Maintenance Service
This service is geared toward the commercial customer. It is generally a monthly program to ensure a facility remains clean, pest-free and that it meets all board of health requirements.
WDI (Wood Destroying Insect) Inspections
These inspections are usually required to satisfy lenders when a house is being sold. The focus of a WDI inspection is to locate any signs of wood-destroying insects such as termites, carpenter ants, powder post beetles and carpenter bees.
As an added benefit a general pest inspection is included at the time of the WDI inspection. The general pest inspection includes but is not limited to such pests as mice, stinging insects, bats, and spiders.
Wasps, hornets, yellow Jackets
